| In this issue, SpApp helps you to locate your business data, which needs your immediate attention, in the real world. Accuracy of such alerts is vitally dependent on the data accuracy maintained. Incomplete, inaccurate or not-current data typically make the Alerts, meaningless. If you have Alerts, you are alerted at the time of login. You hear a pleasant Voice saying that you have alerts. You can check that time itself or come back later. Afterwards, you need to check on it yourself. To check on the Alerts, click on ‘Show Alert’ under ‘View Options' from Application Management screen. Use Data Alerts.
The list of Data Alerts are shown at the top half of screen. Each Alert may refer to several datasets. These are shown based on your access rights to a profile. On selecting an Alert from the list, the relevant data that matches the conditions given in the Alert, are shown. You may select a group of data shown and on pressing ‘F2’ or ‘F3’, you can directly go to the Application Management screen where you can view the data in detail. After checking up on data, you are returned to the Profiles List. You may check Alerts again, for more. Data alerts can be created only the App Creator using SpecGuide. Personal Alerts. In case of Personal Alerts, those Alerts that are meant for you, are shown. Personal Alerts can be set to alert you, on a Given Time, Given Day, Given Day of Week, Given Date, or Given Day of month. If you want to alert yourself at work with a reminder on an important meeting, you can create an Alert for yourself. Such Alerts, after their use, need to be deleted by you or by the App Creator. You can choose to create new Personal Alerts or modify/delete an existing Personal Alert from this screen. Personal Alerts created by an individual user is meant only for that user only. These alerts can be modified/deleted only by the user who has created them.
