At the outset, we are sorry not to have brought out our September Newsletter. We were sewing up many of BSaC product parameters in September. First BSaC product built on SpApp is now released. You may check up elsewhere in this website to know about KwikPayLite, our first BSaC product. In this issue, let us deal with SpApp's SpecGuide. It is the heart of the SpApp. You can create any business Application using this SpecGuide. Any business application in the domains of SMB Factories, Hospitals, Hotels, Diagnostic Centers, Clinics, Doctors Tax Consultants, Chartered Accountants, Lawyers, Retail, High-Value Couriers, Service Companies and the like, can be built. Tip: Try and Specify the profiles in a logical order. For example, a 'Customer' profile is specified before 'Order' profile.

Above screen-shot on SpApp shows SpecGuide. Using this specguide you can specify your application. There are many options in SpecGuide. Take care to walkthru' carefully with an existing Application, understand the flow before effecting changes or build a new App. 		Use SpecGuide to Specify your Application.

Using this interactive SpecGuide, you can create your Business Applications. There are no restrictions to the number of Apps that can be created (with a proper SpApp product License). SpApp does not limit your App in anyway and you can quickly create your Business App as wide and deep as you want, through the interactive SpecGuide. It allows you to specify Profiles, Calculations, Checks, Reports and Alerts. SpApp is primarily aimed at empowering end users & analysts to design and build Business Applications themselves. This is achieved through the SpecGuide.

SpecGuide Includes the following Options
  • Application:Use this option to create a New App (For Enterprise Licenses only) or select an existing App.
  • Profile: Specifying a Profile for your App by choosing an appropriate name. A Profile consist of many elements.
  • Identify By: This feature helps you to specify the order of the data in a Profile. The first ID prevents duplication of data.
  • Calculate: SpApp provides a very easy to use mechanism to specify your calculations. Calculations are limited to a normal arithmetical operation. But they do a fantastic job for all of us in business systems.
  • Choose: The Choose feature of SpApp allows you to specify validations and checks on the data. Using different Choose options, data entry can be made simple and fast.
  • Check: Use this option to specify a Check on the Business Element to pick from its higher order profile.
  • Work Flow: SpApp provides a very easy-to-use and an effective workflow mechanism to control your App.You can also specify the users authorized to change the status in a WorkFlow.
  • Report: Create all your MIS & Statutory reports in the format you wanted.The report option in SpecGuide is a wonderful aid to create any report to suit your need.
  • Alert: How about a Warning System to Alert you. SpApp has a feature called Alert to do this work. There is an important meeting to attend and you need to be reminded and do trust SpApp to do this for you.
  • Action:SpApp supports batch processing like payroll, thru' Business Actions.
SpecGuide provides your App's logic in SpApp's Business Language (SBL). It is an easy-to-understand documentation.

Question 1: Can I reuse this SBL to other applications?
Answer: No. SBL serves as a documentation for your App. You have an SQL option, to port the App definitions and/or data as SQL statements.
Question 2: How a Fast Project Execution is made possible?
Answer: SpApp creates your Application's logic along with you, when you keep specifying the App logic. SRS documentation is enough for the Analyst to specify it on SpApp. Of course, Testing is required to clear the App's functionality. There is no need for Database design, Program specifications, Program development, unit testing, etc. Thus, you tend to save lot of time & money.
Question 3: What about performance?
Answer: SpApp is a notch or two faster than Apps programmed with RDBMS. SpApp is based on a patented technology. This technology achieves Quick Retrieval of data, Fast storage and Dynamic transactional updates consistently. SpApp maintains itself, as a single layer above OS, instead of traditional multiple-tier architecture.
Question 4: What types of Business Application can be Created?
Answer: Any type of Business Information system is feasible to create. Question 5: How SpApp Creates a Report. Is there any third party tool?
Answer: No, Not at all. SpApp is not using any third party tool. SpApp uses the Specifications of a Report to Create and show reports dynamically.
