In KwikPayLite you can also mention the ‘Payment Mode’ and the ‘Pay Structure’ for that category. The ‘Payment Mode’ & ‘Pay Structure’ mentioned here is helpful while adding a new employee’s pay scale. KwikPayLite comes with some default categories mentioned, you could use this list or include your own categories to it.

Some Important Elements are:

Category Type: The type of category to which the employee is classified. Category Name has to be unique. The Category Type is only used for grouping your employee. The payroll calculations remain the same for all Category Types.
Payment Mode: The mode of paying the salary. It can be either Bank Credit or Cash or DD/Chq.
Pay Scale: The salary structure.
Basic: The Basic Salary for the category.
DA: The Dearness Allowance for the category.
VDA: Variable Dearness Allowance for the category, if Applicable.
HRA: The House Rent Allowance for the category.
Conveyance: The Conveyance Allowance for the category.
CCA: The City Compensation Allowance for the category.
Medical: The Medical Allowance for the category.
Overtime: Overtime Allowance, if applicable for the category.
Others: Any Other Allowance for the category.
Gross: The Gross Salary for the category.

Question 1: Our company does not pay D.A., How do I disable it?
Answer: You need to set the value of D.A. as '0' for all your employees in the 'Employee PayScale' profile.

Question 2: Can we change the monthly Pay Days from the standard 30 days?
Answer: Yes, it can be done. In the 'Month' profile change the value of 'Pay Days' to whatever value you want. This needs to be done before entering the Attendance data or processing the monthly Salary.

Question 3: How to include my Company Logo in the PaySlips?
Answer: Open App 'Infomation'under Admin menu and select the logo file. You need to have the Admin Password to modify the App Infomation. This will automatically include the selected logo in the PaySlips.

Question 4: Is there a multi-user verion of KwikPayLite?
Answer: KwikPayLite is sold only has a single-user version. However, using our upgrade software called 'KwikUpgrade' you can go multi-user. KwikUpgrade cost just Rs. 490/- per user. Depending on the number of user license that is required you need to buy that many copies of KwikUpgrade.

Question 5: Is it necessary to delete the previous Financial Year's data?
Answer: KwikPayLite is designed to have multiple Financial Year's data. At the start of a new Financial Year you need to correctly set the values in the App 'Information' screen. If the old data are not needed you can purge the old data by using the Purge feature, it is advised that you take a backup before using the Purge feature.
