Above screen shows the Employee data as kept in KwikPayLite. An Employee must be uniquely identified by his/her Name. No code or number is required. Just ensure that the names are unique. Keep the initials too, in Names. This is a great feature in KwikPayLite that you need not keep codes to identify employees. Just use their natural names. A positive reflection of the real world, we believe.

Question 1: Where do I do the payroll processing?
Answer: After ensuring relevant attendance data are collected, go to profile list and highlight on Salary profile. Below, you see an Action Button. Click on it. Select the "Add on Salary To Add With..." action. This Business action adds up Salary Data to your profile for the chosen month and other parameters that you specify. You'd be pleasantly surprised to see that the process gets over in much under a minute, even for 100+ employees. It is the SpApp technology that works wonders for you. Use the other Business Action in the list, to undo a payroll process just carried out. We suggest a proper backup before performing any business action. Improper parameters provided by you in error, may result in wrong results.
Question 2: How do I print Payslips for distribution?
Answer: Go to Profile list and select on Salary profile. Press F8/Report Button. You see a list of custom reports built on Salary. Select PaySlips report and provide the parameters. Ensure you have adequate A4 papers on the printer. View the report or just print!
Question 3: I don't see my Company anywhere. How do I put my company name?
Answer: Its easy. Go to Admin/Information. Change the company name to yours. Save and exit. Now, your company name is seen. Thats all to it. You may also mention the Company Logo file, in the Information screen. It'll appear on screens and in certain reports. Check the tutorial topic on this, in your software.
Question 4: You talked about Business processes in documentation. What is it?
Answer: In a simple sense, a Business process is a sequence of steps that you carry out to achieve a task in a business function. In Payroll, you may need to register a new employee who has joined you recently. New Employee Registration can then be called a Business process in your HR/Payroll department. Of course, we are providing you with an insight into such terms but not an exact definition. Please check Management books for exact definitions.
Question 5: Why do you call it KwikPayLite? Whats so Lite about it? If so, why should I buy it?
Answer: Its a good question. KwikPayLite is a Lite version of our large KwikPay (Enterprise version) product. In every business function, there are advanced practices that warrant large and deep software systems. In smaller companies, they are generally irrelevant. After exhaustive studies on Payroll requirements of small to medium sized companies, KwikPayLite is brought out. We believe, it would meet your needs as-is. In case it falls short marginally, you may alter it to suit your needs without any programming by yourself.
